Summary
The Process and Performance Engineer is responsible for providing operational support to ensure uptime and optimal performance of assigned O&M contracts. In this role, you will advise clients, support the optimization of performance, and enhance customer satisfaction within your designated region. You will be an integral part of the NSI O&M team.
The Process and Performance Engineer reports to the supervisor as outlined in the organization chart and collaborates closely with appointed specialists and engineers.
Job Responsibilities:
Operational Phase (onsite and remote)
- Provide guidance, instructions, and share observations with operators regarding the operation and maintenance of the installation.
- Ensure that the installation operates within the contractual parameters.
- Monitor and support adequate handling and follow-up of malfunctions, problems and questions.
- Prepare improvement reports in response to unforeseen issues and ensure implementation of improvements.
- Maintain a performance-driven approach.
- Interact with stakeholders and provide improvement proposals based on KPI analyses of KPIs, in order to optimize the operation of the installation, enhance HSE compliance and reduce operational costs
- Investigate and verify causes of corrective maintenance requirements.
Monitoring
- Monitor installations at customer sites via real-time control systems.
- Analyse historical performance data.
- Advise customers based on real-time and historical data and resolves malfunctions.
- Utilize a state-of-the-art online monitoring platform to perform monitoring duties.
CAPEX Project Realisation Phase
- Provide support to the NSI project realisation team on the operational elements of the plant.
- Review relevant plant operational documentation and participate in HAZOP studies.
Preparation
- Establish an O&M organizational structure and communication framework for the customer.
- Develop an initial version of the supervision and monitoring scheme including agreed KPIs.
- Set up workflows, documentation, SOPs and checklists.
Reporting
- Provide the customer with bi-weekly or weekly reports based on the agreed parameters, observations, completed work and upcoming actions.
- Ensure report reviews are conducted with relevant stakeholders upon return to the office.
Quality and Compliance
- Execute all tasks in compliance with established standards and requirements.
- Ensure adherence to safety, health, environmental, and quality regulations set by the employer, client, and applicable authorities.
- Take necessary action to stop or slow activities that pose safety risks.
- Perform tasks independently within the assigned project budget and schedule.
Communication
- Discuss work progress and reports with the designated manager.
- Exchange information with team members about successes, challenges, and ongoing issues.
- Prepare professional reports, emails and letters
Remainder
- Perform all common work that can reasonably be required in alignment with the role.
Job Requirements:
- Higher professional or academic education preferably in the direction of Process Technology or related technical field.
- Safety certificate as per local requirements.
- Electrical safety training in accordance with local requirements.
- Completed process-technical training.
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Knowledge of applicable laws, technical standards and regulations.
- Proficiency in local languages and English both in written and spoken.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
